Tonight's Mistletoe Market Details

The Mistletoe Market is back for it's 3rd year and pulling all the stops!

Grab your friends and family for the first community event on the almost completed Historic Downtown Shelbyville!

Mistletoe Market and Holiday Parade presented by Knauf Insulation will take place tonight, December 3rd with the market and activities open from 5:00p-8:00pm. 

The parade route begins at 7:00 p.m. Shelby County Tourism & Visitors' Bureau, continues south on Harrison Street making a right onto W Washington, ending at City Hall. You will want to stay for the entire event as a very special guest will be bringing up the rear with Christmas cheer! 

There are so many exciting holiday activities and local food vendors, we have created a one-stop round-up for your family to review. 


EVENTS

Previously per person, Carriage rides are back and at a flat rate of $10 per ride to be more inclusive of family sizes.

The following events are FREE to the community: 

  • Faux Ice Skating (located in the Public Parking Lot west of Sharp Trophies by Mack on E Washington St)
  • Live Reindeer Encounter (located in the northeast quadrant of the square by Pudder's)
  • Cookies, cocoa, and Santa visits (held in the former Chase building located at the southwest quadrant of the square)


FOOD


BEVERAGES

  • Bourbon & Brews Mobile Bartending
    • Will be located in the art alley east of Pudders on E Washington Street
    • Serving a variety of brews, spiked cider & coffees, and non-alcoholic beverages for the kiddos
  • Three Sister's Books and Gifts
    • Limited Menu items include Tea, lattes, Coffee, grab & go snacks
    • Free hot cocoa will be available at the storefront



SHOPPING

Mistletoe Market has had such positive responses from local artisans and vendors that there are TWO locations! 

Location 1: Blessing's Opera House & Event Center (located in the northeast quadrant of the circle above Pudder's)

What you'll find: Holiday Treats, Hot Beverages, and Grab & Go Food Options


Location 2: Heated Outdoor Tents Along E Washington Street on the Square

What you'll find: Crafts & Trades (including Spegal's Prime Cuts)


EXTENDED HOUR SHOPPING

PARKING

As you can imagine, parking directly on the closed routes of Washington Street, Harrison Street, and Tompkins will not be an option. Attendees are highly encouraged to make use of the newly erected *FREE* parking garage located on the corner of W Franklin and N Harrison Street. 

Don't see any lights on? Don't be discouraged! As an environmental sustainability feature, lights are motion-censored and will illuminate upon entry. 

Other options include free city parking lots located behind Munchies and Cadillac Jacks.
