Summer might not officially start until June 4 (Shelby County Commencement Weekend), but the late sunsets, blooming flowers, and -- most importantly to my kids -- the end of the school year certainly makes it seem like summer is already here!
I'm as excited as my family is because spring has been a challenge for all of us (being cooped up with cold and rainy weather), to say the least. So I want my kids to have an amazing summer... ESPECIALLY since so many community concerts, festivals, and other events are BACK!
One of our favorite family activities at the end of each school year is to make a family summer bucket list. We are getting creative this year trying to keep it local with stay-cations and really exploring the south-central Indy area since we have our feet a bit more grounded since moving to Shelby County last summer.
This will be a summer to remember as we set our roots in the community!
