Shelby County's Music in the Park Line Up Announced!

Live music, food trucks, biergarten, splash pad, and playground there is something for everyone!

By Jenna Martin, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Shelbyville, IN February 24, 2022

With this warmer weather, my daughter and I have found ourselves (and many other younger families) frequenting the playground and music center at the Blue River park. As I look around at the vacant gazebos and splash pad, I can't help but reminisce on last year's Music in the Park series hosted by Shelbyville Parks and Rec.

If you haven't been, close your eyes and imagine, a warm breeze, setting sun, giggles and screams of excitement from kiddos running in and out of the water features, inaudible chatter of families playing tag on the large playground structure, seeing community members dancing down and in front of the stage, smelling yummy food cooked up on the food truck, and a cool refreshing drink of your favorite beverage from the concession stand.

It's the all-American perfect summer event and the best part... IT'S FREE! You can bring your own blanket or lawn chairs and picnic (cannot bring your own alcohol) and have a wonderful night at the park in Shelbyville!
