The Chamber of Commerce is one of the most widely used referral and information sources for residents and visitors looking for services and products. They are a great resource for new and current families in Shelby County looking for TRUSTED and LOCAL business, products, and services.


Mission:

The mission of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is "As an affiliation of business and community service entities, the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce advocates for a pro-business environment and supports the success of its members while collaborating with network partners to drive Shelby County forward as a highly desirable community in which to work, live, and play."


Vision:

Our focus is to market the Shelby County area to build a healthy economic environment and promote our membership and our community. We accomplish this through effective partnerships and communication with help from our volunteers and staff.


Shelby County Chamber of Commerce administrative office hours vary - but the Porter Visitors Center is open Monday through Friday from
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is led by a volunteer board of directors, comprised of representatives from businesses of all sizes in diverse industries. Our current board structure includes representatives from industry, banking, retail, health care, agriculture, construction, financial management, lodging, entertainment, automotive, non-profit, and education. The board provides leadership for the business community, steering the Chamber’s activities in support of its mission and focusing to help all businesses in Shelby County connect and prosper.
